Menifee, CA (January 9, 2020) – One man was sadly killed in an auto-pedestrian collision that was reported along State Route 74 in Menifee. The fatal accident took place just west of McKinley Road at approximately 8:08 p.m. on Tuesday night, January 7th.
Officials in Riverside County stated that a man, later identified as 27-year-old Ruperto Baiza, of Romoland, was struck by a motor vehicle while walking alongside the roadway. Emergency responders arrived at the scene where they attempted to save the severely injured victim. He was tragically pronounced deceased at 8:17 p.m.
Authorities are presently conducting a thorough investigation into the cause of this accident but no further details were reported.
