According to a recent report from KSBY, on August 3, 2016, there was a Los Osos three vehicle car crash in San Luis Obispo, California. A grey Ford Fusion and a white Chevy van were both traveling westbound on Los Osos Valley Road. At approximately 2:30 p.m, a red Chevy Blazer traveling eastbound dangerously drifted into the westbound lane. As a result, the Blazer sideswiped the Fusion who then crashed head-on into the van.
The driver of the van and the Blazer were imprisoned by the remaining debris.
The victims were unable to remove themselves from the wreckage and the firefighters had to extract them.
The victims were ultimately transferred to Stanford with major injuries. The driver of the Fusion suffered only minor physical injuries.
It has not yet been determined as to exactly how fast the driver of the Blazer was traveling. It is also unknown as to why the driver abruptly veered into oncoming traffic.
Investigators stated that they will be interviewing all the drivers and witnesses involved. The officer assigned to this incident hopes to obtain a formal concluding statement from the driver of the Blazer that will confirm the cause.
Both westbound drivers indicated that they saw the Blazer coming toward them, but there was nothing they could have done to prevent the inevitable.
Shockingly, only 15 minutes prior to this incident, there was another car crash on Los Osos Valley and Turri Road.
