Los Angeles, CA (March 11, 2020) – A teenage boy was struck and tragically killed by a motor vehicle on Tuesday morning, March 10th. According to police, a 12-year-old boy was struck and killed by a vehicle at around 7:30 a.m. in the 100 block of Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard.
According to police, the vehicle involved was attempting to make a left turn when it struck the victim near Woodlawn Avenue. Emergency medical crews were dispatched to the scene where the victim was tragically pronounced deceased.
The investigation into the cause of this incident is ongoing.

According to the California Office of Traffic Safety, fatal pedestrian accidents in California rose by at least 32.8 percent from 2012 to 2016.
