Los Angeles, CA (December 6, 2019) – Police have now released the identity of the man who was struck and killed by a motor vehicle in the West Adams neighborhood of Los Angeles on Thanksgiving Day.
According to authorities, Jihad Muhammad, 62, was standing alongside the road, in the vicinity of West View Street when an eastbound white sedan struck him. The vehicle pulled over but then fled the scene as another vehicle, described as a white Cadillac Seville, also ran Muhammad over before leaving the scene, as well.
Police stated that a third vehicle then struck Muhammad, dragging him down to the intersection with Crenshaw Boulevard. The driver then checked their vehicle, dislodged Muhammed, and fled before authorities arrived. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police are looking for all three motorists involved as part of their investigation into this incident continues.
We would like to offer our condolences to the family of Jihad Muhammad at this time.
