Los Angeles, CA (September 4, 2019) – A hit-and-run collision claimed the life of a bicyclist late Monday night, September 2nd, according to authorities. The fatal accident took place at around 11:45 p.m. at or near the intersection of Grape Street and 92nd Street.
Police was called to the crash site near the Grammercy Park neighborhood following a report concerning a bicyclist struck by a motor vehicle. Paramedics arrived to find the cyclist, identified only as a man in his 50s, lying in the roadway with critical injuries.
Medical crews pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. The driver of the vehicle involved did not stop to assist the victim but fled the area. The name of the victim was not released and the investigation is ongoing.
