Long Beach, CA (February 19, 2020) – Police have now reported that the man who was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Downey Avenue and South Street back on February 5th, died from his injuries on Friday, February 14th. The initial incident was reported at around 7:00 p.m. in Long Beach.
According to authorities, a 27-year-old man from Wisconsin was hit by a 2003 Toyota Tacoma while walking across the street. Emergency crews arrived at the scene where they transported the victim to a nearby hospital in critical condition. He was tragically pronounced deceased nine days later.
Authorities continue to investigate all the circumstances that surround this incident.
