There are about 3,000 reported fatal accidents in California each year. A large number of these crashes will involve drivers who leave the scene following the accident. Hit-and-run accidents remain very common in our state as drivers will frequently flee a crash scene in an effort to avoid responsibility for their negligence.
A hit-and-run accident can leave a victim’s family feeling frustrated and hopeless. When the driver is located, they will face both civil and criminal liability for their actions.
