Long Beach, CA – At Least 1 Seriously Hurt in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Artesia Fwy

Long Beach, CA (January 22, 2020) – A stretch of the Artesia (91) Freeway was shut down following a multi-vehicle collision with injuries on Tuesday evening, January 21st, in Long Beach. The crash took place at around 10:45 p.m. in the vicinity of Paramount Boulevard, according to officials with the California Highway patrol.

Authorities stated that up to five vehicles collided along the freeway where a witness stated that one person was lying unresponsive in the carpool lane. Emergency responders arrived at the crash site where they worked diligently to help the wounded parties.

The freeway was closed down in the area until approximately 12:30 a.m. the next day but no further details have been provided. The current conditions of the victims have not been reported as the investigation remains ongoing.
