Long Beach, CA (January 14, 2020) – Two teenage pedestrians were struck by a car and seriously injured in the vicinity of Long Beach Polytechnic High School on Tuesday morning, January 14th. The incident was reported at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and 15th Street at around 7:00 a.m.
Police officials stated that the two pedestrians, ages 17 and 18-years-old were walking near the intersection when they were struck by an unspecified vehicle. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene where they transported both victims to a nearby hospital. They are both listed in serious condition.
The unidentified driver involved remained at the scene but there has been no word concerning any charges at this time. Police are still looking into the events that led to this incident and no identities have been released.
