Numerous pedestrians are struck and injured by a motor vehicle and many others killed each year in California. Speeding, drunk driving, distracted driving, and the simple failure to obey basic traffic laws are common contributors to many of these California pedestrian accidents. As the leading cause of these crashes is driver negligence, it remains important for victims to understand their rights in the aftermath.
When a loved one is suddenly hit and injured by a vehicle, victims and their loved ones are immediately left with pain and suffering on top of extremely high expenses. While it is understandably challenging, it is imperative to realize that you may have rights as you attempt to move forward.
