Grand Terrace, CA (October 23, 2019) – A police motorcycle officer was reported to have suffered injuries following a crash that took place on Tuesday afternoon, October 22nd, in Grand Terrace. The collision happened along the Interstate-215 Freeway at around 2:30 p.m.
According to officials, an Ontario police officer was riding a motorcycle in the southbound lanes of the freeway, in the vicinity of Barton Road, when they collided with a Toyota pickup truck. The officer was ejected from the motorcycle due to the impact of the collision.
Paramedics were dispatched to the scene where they rendered aid to the motorcyclist and called for a medical helicopter. The victim was airlifted to a local hospital with major injuries. The events that led to this incident remain under investigation.
