Gorman, CA – Update: Authorities Identify Woman Struck & Killed on Hwy 138 at Quail Lake Rd

Gorman, CA (August 30, 2019) – Police have now released the identity of the woman who was struck and killed by a motor vehicle on Sunday, August 25th, in Gorman. 26-year-old Charlotte Wightman, of Monrovia, suffered fatal injuries after she was hit by at around 5:35 a.m. on Highway 138 at Quail Lake Road.

An investigation into the incident revealed that Wightman was struck by a gray pickup truck while walking alongside the highway. Emergency medical responders arrived at the accident site where they sadly pronounced Wightman deceased from her injuries. She had suffered blunt force trauma as a result of the collision.

The driver of the pickup involved remained at the scene but police have not released any further information concerning that individual. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
