Corona, CA – 1 Killed in Crash Between Semi and Sedan on Riverside Fwy

Corona, CA (September 28, 2019) – One person was killed in a crash involving a semi-truck and a sedan around 5:00 a.m. on the Riverside Freeway in Carona.

The California Highway Patrol responded to the accident scene near South Promenade Avenue and according to CHP reports, the crash took place in the eastbound lanes of the roadway.

After the sedan and the semi-truck collided, the semi-truck’s trailer detached as a result of the impact. No word was released on the circumstances leading up to the crash. Police have not identified the deceased victim and have not mentioned if they were a driver or passenger in either the sedan or semi-truck.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
