Buena Park, CA (December 10, 2019) – One man was killed in an auto-bicycle collision that took place late Monday night, December 9th, in Buena Park. Police did not report on the exact intersection where the accident occurred but stated that it happened at around 10:21 p.m.
According to officials, a 45-year-old male bicyclist was hit by an unspecified vehicle while riding across an intersection. Paramedics were dispatched to the scene where they transported the victim to the University of California Irvine Medical Center in Orange.
The victim succumbed to his injuries at the hospital and was pronounced deceased at around 11:08 p.m. The events that led to this incident are under investigation by the Buena Park Police Department.
We would like to offer our condolences to the family of the victim at this time.
Statistics have shown that most bicyclists who are hit and killed by motor vehicles are identified as males over 40-years-old. Despite gender or age, however, bicycle accidents in California commonly end with severe or even deadly injuries because of the vulnerability of cyclists alongside the reckless actions of careless drivers. Devastating accidents can take place at nearly any time, leaving victims and their families with suffering, as well as terribly high and unjust costs.
At The May Firm, our accident attorneys are committed to holding negligent and blatantly criminal drivers accountable for the devastation they cause. If you have been injured or lost a family member in a bicycle accident because of a reckless, criminal, or otherwise negligent driver, please don’t hesitate to call (844) 629-3476 or leave us a message to schedule a free consultation today.
