Bonita, CA (October 26, 2019) – A 51-year-old bicyclist sustained injuries in a crash that took place in Bonita on Thursday, October 24th. The crash was reported around 9:30 a.m. on Briarwood Road.
The California Highway Patrol was called to the scene of the crash shortly after it occurred. According to reports, the male bicyclist was riding westbound near the intersection of Briarwood and Sweetwater Road. The man was struck by a cement mixer that was turning onto Briarwood.
Following the crash, the victim was taken to Scripps Mercy Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The cause of the crash is still under investigation by CHP.
There are no further details available at this time.
