Bakersfield, CA (September 2, 2019) – Two people suffered serious injuries following a motor vehicle collision that took place on Highway 99 Sunday, September 1st. The accident occurred between Ming Avenue and White Lane.
Officials stated that a red sedan that was traveling north along Highway 99 hit the center divider, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle. His sedan continued along the roadway until it rested on the right shoulder.
Emergency responders were immediately summoned to the accident site and worked diligently to assist those involved. Both a male and female were transported to a nearby hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time.
In California, 9.1 people per 100,000 were reported to have lost their lives in a California motor vehicle accident in 2017. While the numbers will always fluctuate to some degree or another, people will likely continue to suffer catastrophic or fatal injuries as the result of a sudden accident. It is important, however, to understand your rights in the event that you have found yourself the victim of another driver’s negligence.
Because of the extremely high costs of medical bills and physical recovery on top of lost wages, many victims will opt to file a claim for financial recompense. It is our belief that anyone who has operated a vehicle in a negligent manner, resulting in the injuries or death of another person, should be held accountable for their actions.
At The May Firm, we will work with you to ensure your rights and give you the peace of mind needed to focus on the path forward. If you have lost a family member or suffered an injury as the result of another person’s negligence, please call us at (844) 629-3476 or leave us a message to receive a free consultation with one of our attorneys.
