Anaheim, CA (October 15, 2019) – A hit-and-run collision left a motorcyclist injured on Monday afternoon, October 14th, in Anaheim. Police stated that the accident occurred around 2:07 p.m. on the Riverside Freeway at Raymond Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the unidentified operator of a motorcycle entered the intersection at the same time as another vehicle. The other vehicle, described by a bystander as a gray Chrysler Sebring, struck the motorcyclist and then fled the scene.
An ambulance was quickly dispatched to the crash site along with the police. Paramedics assisted the victim at the scene but have not provided any information concerning the extent of the injuries.
The California Highway Patrol is currently in charge of the investigation into this crash.
Over 480 people were killed in California motorcycle accidents in 2013, according to California’s Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System, and hundreds more suffered minor to catastrophic injuries. The cause of every motorcycle accident may be different, however, the lack of protection in place for riders can be devastating. When a motorcyclist is injured or killed due to the negligent actions of another party, it is important to obtain experienced representation.
Unfortunately, serious and even fatal accidents can occur at any time, leaving victims and their loved ones with not only pain and suffering but extremely high expenses as well. While it may be difficult, it is important to understand that you may likely have significant rights at this time.
