Injury lawyer Robert May is a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Mr. May has resolved number cases for more than a million dollars, which is why he was admitted into this select group of litigation attorneys.
Established in 1993, the Million Dollar Advocates Forum (which includes the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum) is one of the most prestigious groups of trial lawyers in the United States. Its members have won million, multi-million and billion dollar cases.
The organization was created by a California trial lawyer to serve two essential purposes. First, to recognize the skills, experience and accomplishments of trial lawyers who had won large and complex cases. Second, to provide a national network of experienced colleagues who handle such cases, to facilitate information exchange, local assistance and case referrals. The organization was created and membership invitations were sent to a number of trial lawyers throughout the country who had won million and multi-million dollar cases. Membership invitations are now sent only to attorneys who objectively appear to be qualified, including those whose names have been proposed from case reports and nominations of current members. Other attorneys who are qualified may apply for membership. Membership requires completion, review and approval of a detailed membership application.

Looking for a top rated personal injury lawyer can be difficult. Once measure is the rankings and awards received by the lawyer throughout the course of his or her career as a litigator. Personal injury attorney and founder of The May Firm, Robert May, has a perfect Avvo Rating of 10.0. This received this distinguished honor and we are proud of Mr. May for obtaining a “Superb” 10.0 Avvo Rating.
The Avvo Rating is our effort to evaluate a lawyer’s background, based on the information we know about the lawyer. The rating is calculated using a mathematical model that considers the information shown in a lawyer’s profile, including a lawyer’s years in practice, disciplinary history, professional achievements and industry recognition – all factors that, in our opinion, are relevant to assessing a lawyer’s qualifications.
We periodically collect background data from multiple sources, including state bar associations, court records, lawyer websites, and information that lawyers choose to provide to Avvo. Please keep in mind that we are not able to collect every piece of information about every lawyer’s background. Information that we do not have could very well change the lawyer’s Avvo Rating. So whether you see the numerical or the basic Avvo Rating, you should do further research regarding the lawyer to collect all relevant information regarding the lawyer’s background.

ASLA’s exclusive membership comprises less than 1.5% of all licensed lawyers nationwide. ASLA is both highly selective in extending invitations and in determining which specialties to include for a given state. Because many specialties typically include listings for Top 100 Lawyers and Top 40 Lawyers Under 40, in order to remain selective we ensure that each specialty in a state has a sufficient number of practicing lawyers to merit inclusion. Those states with relatively low populations of practicing lawyers often will support only one or two specialties. ASLA monitors practice trends from year to year prior to extending invitations in each state.
ASLA’s entire selection process is conducted manually by lawyers. Prospective members initially are evaluated based on publicly-available information, although member nominations also are accepted from current members, other lawyers, and past clients. Self-nominations and nominations from public relations firms or advertising agencies are not accepted….click hereto read more.

For the injured, finding a well-qualified Personal Injury attorney is imperative, and the NAOPIA’s process leaves no doubt as to whom the preeminent Personal Injury attorneys are:
The attorneys who make the NAOPIA list must first be nominated by a licensed practicing attorney.
Second, the NAOPIA research staff verifies the nominated individuals meet the minimum requirements of membership in the NAOPIA.
Then the NAOPIA processing committee selects a portion of the nominated attorneys to advance to the final selection stage.
Finally, the NAOPIA Board of Governors officially selects the TOP 10 Personal Injury attorneys in each state.
